About the Organization
VAAGDHARA is a non-profit organization working to support indigenous communities for their development in tri-junction area of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. Currently, the organisation is spearheading the project 'Bhoomi Ka – Co-creating Clean, Green, and Fair Food Systems' in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. The project aims to enhance inclusive framework conditions that shape the development of agroecological value chains and food systems for smallholder producer communities, ecopreneurs, and consumers by addressing key challenges such as market access, fair pricing, ecological farming, and policy advocacy requires effective campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and systemic change.The program envisages to provide extensive support to various social enterprises by nurturing a multi-stakeholder networking platform and conducting capacity-building programs. Through these endeavours it is striving to cultivate a food ecosystem that is economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive.
About the Proposal
Two campaigns on Participatory Guarantee System (PGS), promoting of organic food products and role of bio-inputs in agro-ecosystem are needed to be designed focusing on highlighting the benefits of both the systems and their adoption by local producers and consumers. The campaign is expected toincrease the market demand for organic products, bio-inputs and outline a plan for future promotion and expansion.
Campaign Objectives:
- Highlighting the opportunities for farmers and FPOs in adopting PGS and enhancing consumer awareness about organic food products.
- Increasing awareness among farmers about bio-organic inputs and scope for promoting rural entrepreneurship development.
- Engaging withconsumers, policymakers, CSOs, market actors, and other stakeholders for strengthening and supporting ecological food systems.
Scope of work
The agency will be responsible for:
- Conducting a situational analysis to identify key issues and campaign opportunities.
- Developing a campaign strategy with clear objectives, target audiences, key messages, and communication channels.
- Creating content, including videos, infographics, social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube) , blogs, and case studies.
- Identifying and leveraging partnershipswith media, civil society organizations, and key departments
- Implementing digital campaigns, engaging stakeholders to create visibility about organic products, bio-organic inputs, and PGS.
- Monitoring campaign reach and impact through data analysis and feedback.
Target Audience:
- Small and Marginal Farmers and CSOs in target states of India to encourage them to adopt PGS.
- Ecopreneurs and Consumers – for building awareness and demand of PGS certified organic products and Bio organic inputs.
Deliverables
- The consultant is expected to deliver the followings:
- A detailed campaign strategy and work plans for both the campaigns.
- Communication materials tailored to different platforms (print, digital, video, etc.).
- Reports on campaign implementation and impact assessment.
- A toolkit for future campaign replication by Bhoomi Ka and partners.
Eligibility
- At least 3 years of experience in campaign design and communication strategy.
- Proven track record of working on issues related to agriculture, sustainable food systems, or rural development and other related aspects.
- Strong skills in content creation, digital engagement, and wide scale promotion.
- Ability to work, coordinate with diverse stakeholders including policy makers for the campaigns.
- Experience in working with FPOs, farmer groups, and value chain actors is desirable.
