About the Organization

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to contribute in the skill building for the external trade sector of India. It has come a long way to successfully develop into a unique institution involved in imparting knowledge through research and training in international business and trade. The Institute was granted “Deemed to be University” status in 2002. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has recognized IIFT as Grade ‘A’ Institution in 2005 as well as in 2015. Over the years, IIFT has emerged as a national university with focus on International Business Management and Strategy, and such focus is reflected in all three major activities of the Institute: Research, Training and Education.

Job Responsibilities

• To provide mental health/ psychological counselling services to students and other stakeholders.
• Carry out psychological testing
• Must be available to students’ online/on phone, beyond the office hours, in cases of emergency.
• Information collected from any of the stakeholders during the process must be kept confidential. Data collection for personal research should be avoided by all means.
• Submission of weekly report to Head of the division regarding well-being of students with information on critical cases.
• Work with student communities, staff and their dependents to improve psychological wellness and to address mental health issues.
• Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• M.Phil/ M.A. in Clinical Psychology from a recognised University/Institute.
• He/She should have a valid current registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Candidates with experience in providing counselling services at Higher Educational Institutions in the past would be preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in Hindi and English.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 05 years of experience as counselor.

Salary

The candidate will be paid a consolidated salary of Rs.75, 000/- per month (including telephone expenses). The candidate with the best talent may be offered upto Rs. 1,00,000/-
