IFCI is a Systematically Important Non Deposit Taking Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC-ND-SI) in the public sector. IFCI is having mandate to provide financial support for the diversified growth of Industries across the spectrum. The financing activities cover various kind of projects such as airports, roads, telecom, power, real estate, manufacturing, services sector and such other allied industries. During its 75 years of existence, mega projects like Adani Mundra Ports, GMR Goa International Airport, Salasar Highways, NRSS Transmission, Raichur Power Corporation, to name a few, have been setup with financial assistance of IFCI. IFCI also provides Government Advisory services and Corporate Advisory services. In Government Advisory, IFCI is appointed as a Project Management Agency (PMA) for various Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes launched under the aegis of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" by the Government of India. These schemes are aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and to attract large investment in the identified sectors. IFCI is also the Verifying & Monitoring Agency for various capital subsidy schemes. Under Corporate Advisory, IFCI is offering financial advisory, ESG advisory and other Project advisory services to the Corporate & Government sectors. Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
Maximum Age
- 38 years as on 31/07/2026
Experience Required
- Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in infrastructure development, industrial parks, large-scale projects, project management, EPC/PMC or infrastructure consultancy, appraisal, planning, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure projects, preferably Bulk Drug/Pharmaceutical Parks, industrial parks or common infrastructure projects. Experience in reviewing DPRs, BOQs, engineering estimates, technical specifications, tender documents and project implementation schedules. Experience in physical verification/site inspections and assessment of project progress, preferably in milestone-based projects.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of infrastructure planning, project execution and monitoring.
- Ability to analyse technical proposals, cost estimates, project schedules and physical/financial progress.
- Knowledge of infrastructure facilities such as roads, water supply, drainage, power, utilities, effluent/sewage treatment and waste management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
- Ability to identify project risks, deviations and implementation bottlenecks.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; familiarity with project monitoring/planning tools would be desirable.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
- Undertaking technical appraisal of project proposals and assessing the adequacy, feasibility and completeness of proposed infrastructure.
- Reviewing DPRs, Master Plans, land-use plans, infrastructure layouts, cost estimates, implementation schedules and related technical documents.
- Examining proposed Common Infrastructure Facilities (CIFs), including their scope, capacity, technical specifications and suitability.
- Monitoring physical and technical progress against approved project scope, milestones and timelines.
- Conducting site inspections and verification of physical progress and infrastructure facilities.
- Reviewing land development, internal/approach roads, utilities and other critical infrastructure required for operationalisation of the Bulk Drug Parks.
- Reviewing tendering/procurement status, award of works and execution of major infrastructure works.
- Examining project deviations, cost variations, change orders and proposals for modification/revision of approved project scope, infrastructure or implementation schedules.
- Verifying physical completion/progress of infrastructure components forming part of claims submitted by State Implementing Agencies (SIAs) and assisting in technical assessment of grant release.
- Scrutinising relevant technical supporting documents, including work orders, bills, measurement records, completion certificates, drawings and photographs.
- Identifying implementation risks, delays and technical bottlenecks and providing appropriate observations/recommendations.
- Preparing technical appraisal notes, project monitoring reports, site inspection reports, presentations and briefing notes for the PMA/Department of Pharmaceuticals.
- Maintaining project-wise technical records and MIS relating to approved infrastructure, milestones, physical progress, inspections and deviations.
- Coordinating with SIAs, project authorities, consultants, EPC contractors and other stakeholders for project monitoring and resolution of technical issues.
- Timely completion of technical appraisal of project proposals and DPRs.
- Quality and accuracy of technical assessment of infrastructure scope, costs and implementation plans.
- Effective monitoring of physical progress against approved milestones.
- Timely completion and quality of site inspection/physical verification reports.
- Technical assessment of claims and supporting project documentation.
- Identification and reporting of project delays, deviations, risks and implementation bottlenecks.
- Timely preparation of technical notes, monitoring reports, MIS and presentations for PMA/Department of Pharmaceuticals.
- Effective coordination with SIAs and other project stakeholders.
