IFCI is a Systematically Important Non Deposit Taking Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC-ND-SI) in the public sector. Established in 1948 as a statutory corporation, IFCI is a public limited company listed on BSE and NSE. IFCI has six number of subsidiaries and one associate under its fold. IFCI is having mandate to provide financial support for the diversified growth of Industries across the spectrum. The financing activities cover various kind of projects such as airports, roads, telecom, power, real estate, manufacturing, services sector and such other allied industries. During its 75 years of existence, mega projects like Adani Mundra Ports, GMR Goa International Airport, Salasar Highways, NRSS Transmission, Raichur Power Corporation, to name a few, have been setup with financial assistance of IFCI. IFCI also provides Government Advisory services and Corporate Advisory services. In Government Advisory, IFCI is appointed as a Project Management Agency (PMA) for various Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes launched under the aegis of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" by the Government of India. These schemes are aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and to attract large investment in the identified sectors. IFCI is also the Verifying & Monitoring Agency for various capital subsidy schemes. Under Corporate Advisory, IFCI is offering financial advisory, ESG advisory and other Project advisory services to the Corporate & Government sectors. Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
Maximum Age
- 38 years as on 31/07/2026
Experience Required
- Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience.
Preferred Skills
- Should have preferably worked in Chemical, Petrochemical, Specialty Chemicals or Process Industry projects.
- Exposure to planning, appraisal, implementation or monitoring of chemical projects, industrial infrastructure projects, or common utility facilities.
- Understanding of common infrastructure such as CETP, water supply systems, steam/utilities, hazardous waste management facilities, storage and logistics infrastructure.
- Experience in technical appraisal of project proposals, DPRs, infrastructure plans and capital expenditure.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, EHS requirements and chemical industry standards.
- Candidates having substantial experience in providing consultancy services to the Chemical/Petrochemical sector shall also be considered.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
- To carry out technical appraisal of Chemical infrastructure sector projects, including common infrastructure - utilities, CETP, water systems, waste management facilities and logistics infrastructure etc.
- Review DPRs, project reports, technical specifications, layouts and implementation plans submitted under the Scheme.
- To carry out periodic project inspections, site visits, implementation monitoring and related verification activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical issues, delays and risks, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Support preparation of technical evaluation reports, appraisal notes, MIS reports and presentations for committees and stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the projects.
