Job Description

Vacancy for the post of Social Worker – Male Aftercare Unit at Prayas, a field action project of the Centre for Criminology and Justice, School of Social Work, TISS, Mumbai

Job Responsibilities

• Arranging shelter for clients in need.
• Provide medical emergency assistance.
• Facilitate family visits and connections.
• Handle emergency follow-up at police stations.
• Work closely with legal, medical, and social service providers to coordinate necessary interventions.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• MSW qualification from a good university
• Experience in social work, especially in related fields, for 2 to 3 years.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to travel within Mumbai or Thane for case-related follow-up.
• Case documentation and report writing abilities in English and Marathi
