About the Organization
The broad objective of the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR), Bengaluru, are to sustain and develop a national research data-base on cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (CVD), and stroke through recent advances in electronic information technology with a national collaborative network, so as to undertake aetiological, epidemiological, clinical and control research in these areas. The primary focus of centre includes established nationwide data-base for cancer through the National Cancer Registry Programme and the Cancer Atlas Project. The secondary focus is to facilitate and coordinate research activities by collaborating centres towards epidemiological and clinical studies in diabetes, CVD and stroke.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct missing data analysis, support documentation and reporting and adapt to evolving project needs.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate with at least 55 % of marks in Statistics / Biostatistics / Data Science or relevant discipline with one-year post qualification experience in data analysis or modelling. Proficiency in R/Python/Stata or similar statistical software is required.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of missing data methods, large-scale data handling, modelling and data visualization, preferably in the health domain.
- Familiarity with population-based health datasets.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and writing skills.
- Time management and ability to work independently as well in a team.
Salary
Rs.42,000/- per month (All inclusive)
