  3. Farm net – a collaborative overall FPO Capacity Building Programme for new-bee as well as established FPOs.

Summary of the position

 

 The Accountant cum Admin Executive shall assist the Project Manager in relation to accounting related work. He/She will coordinate with center Inchrage, Trainer and Project Director to oversee the finance and accounting system of all units, budgetary control, monitoring and control of financial management system, internal control functions at the Project and block level.

Job Responsibilities:

The person should be working under the guidance of Project Manager and responsible for the followings.

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Assist with other accounting projects.
  • Coordinating office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
  • Supervising administrative staff and dividing responsibilities to ensure performance.
  • Keep stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary.

  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the upper management.
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data.

Qualification:

Must have experience in data entry and have knowledge in accounts. Preferable M. com/B.com with experience of NGO experience having a minimum of 4-5 yrs experience. Must be willing to stay in the field Office.
