Compensation:

• INR 5,000/day for desk-based (non-travel) working days

• INR 8,000/day for on-field/project site days
  Boarding, lodging, and travel expenses will be covered as per actuals.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Associate Consultant – Plantation & Forestry to support technical design, implementation handholding, and capacity-building for plantation and greening initiatives in both urban and rural contexts. The associate consultant will contribute to the planning and execution of models such as urban forests, oxygen parks, Miyawaki plantations, rural afforestation, and agroforestry. The role requires strong on-ground experience, community coordination, and a hands-on approach to plantation sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in technical planning, species selection, and plantation layout for varied ecological and community contexts.

• Contribute to implementation of Miyawaki forests, urban plantations, and agroforestry systems.

• Conduct site visits for field assessments, survival tracking, and maintenance planning.

• Support training programs for field staff, community workers, and implementing partners.

• Prepare and maintain field reports, plantation logs, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with implementation teams, local authorities, and community groups to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in plantation, forestry, agroforestry, or ecological restoration.

• Practical knowledge of region-specific native species, plantation techniques, and greening strategies.

• Experience with urban or rural plantation models, including CSR or government-funded projects.

• Strong coordination and communication skills for working with field teams and stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel to project sites in both urban and rural locations.

Engagement Terms

• Type: Part-Time Consultancy (as per project requirement)

• Remuneration: INR 5,000/day (desk-based); INR 8,000/day (on-field)
  All travel, boarding, and lodging expenses will be reimbursed separately.
