The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), established in the year 1936, is a Deemed to be University under Ministry of Education. It has campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad, TISS offers over 50 Post Graduate programmes, 18 Doctoral programmes, and Under Graduate programmes in Social Science and Skill Education.

Job Description

Applications are invited for one post of ‘Executive- Operations’ to be filled on contract basis for a period of one year initially and extendable based on performance of the employee and requirements of the Institute.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via email, phone, or in-person.
• Maintain and update reports, logs, and databases.
• Assist team members with daily operations and assigned tasks.
• Support team coordination and provide assistance as needed.
• Help organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, or events.
• Ensure accurate data entry and timely updates.
• Manage documentation (scanning, organizing, dispatching, tracking).

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of a graduate degree.
• 1–2 years of experience in administrative or support roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Basic knowledge of data entry and reporting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt within a team environment.
• Should be willing to take up task apart from that specified as per the requirement of the school and carry out additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Salary

Consolidated Pay Rs. 25,000/- per month with annual increments as per Institute’s rules
