About Digital Equalizer Program

Digital Equalizer (DE) is AIF’s flagship education program. It envisions a world where children from underserved communities, especially girls, are prepared for their careers and lives.

The program works to bridge India’s digital divide by:

  • Providing and integrating technology into underperforming and under-resourced public schools.
  • Training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) methodology.
  • Transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive learning environments.

Since its inception in 2004, the program has:

  • Empowered 8.14 million children with interactive STEM experiences.
  • Trained 212,585 teachers in STEM pedagogy.
  • Transformed 46,596 schools across 35 states and union territories.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The Content Officer will support the development and implementation of the AI/ML curriculum under the Digital Equalizer program.

AI/ML Curriculum Development

  • Develop, review and update AI/ML curriculum content for school students and teachers.
  • Develop process notes, lesson plans, activity sheets, facilitator guides and other curriculum resources.
  • Develop simple and engaging unplugged activities to support AI/ML learning in classrooms.
  • Ensure content is age-appropriate, practical and aligned with program objectives.
  • Incorporate feedback from teachers, trainers and field teams to improve curriculum content.

Training & Classroom Support

  • Support and conduct training sessions for teachers, trainers and field teams on the AI/ML curriculum.
  • Develop training presentations and supporting learning resources.
  • Provide content-related support to trainers and teachers for effective classroom delivery.
  • Support the DE team in maintaining quality and consistency in classroom transactions across project locations.

Content Manuals & Resource Development

  • Develop and update AI/ML content manuals for schools, teachers and the Education Department.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams for printing and distribution of updated content manuals.
  • Maintain updated and approved versions of curriculum resources.
  • Support the development of additional learning resources based on field requirements.

MIS & Documentation Support

  • Support MIS activities related to AI/ML curriculum implementation and training.
  • Maintain relevant content, training and resource-distribution trackers.
  • Support collection, compilation and validation of implementation data.
  • Prepare periodic updates and reports related to curriculum development, training and content distribution.
  • Document field-level feedback, learnings and good practices for curriculum improvement.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, English or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in curriculum development, educational content development, teacher training, digital education or a related field.
  • Experience in AI/ML, STEM Education, Coding, Digital Learning or EdTech programs is preferred.
  • Good understanding of AI Literacy and ability to simplify technical concepts for school students and teachers.
  • Strong content writing, editing and documentation skills.
  • Good training and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop activity-based and learner-friendly content.
  • Basic understanding of MIS, data management and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability, flexibility and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team-playing and coordination skills.
  • “Can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and across teams.
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and respect diverse points of view.

Salary
