About Digital Equalizer (DE)

Digital Equalizer envisions a world where children from underserved communities, especially girls, are prepared for their careers and lives.

The program works to bridge India’s digital divide by integrating technology into underperforming and under-resourced public schools, training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive learning environments.

Targeting students most at risk of dropping out of school in Grades 6–10, Digital Equalizer aims to instil a love for learning.

Since its inception in 2004, the program has:

• Empowered 9.03 million children with interactive STEM experiences.
• Trained 257,317 teachers in STEM pedagogy.
• Transformed 52,404 schools across 35 states and union territories.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Work closely with designated government schools and junior colleges to effectively implement all aspects of the program.
• Conduct regular school and junior college visits to facilitate Financial Literacy sessions and implement activities assigned under program deliverables.
• Manage databases by updating and maintaining accurate data as per the MIS, working closely with the Project Lead.
• Conduct data analysis for students and related stakeholders.
• Conduct regular teacher capacity-building sessions and assigned activities in government schools and junior colleges.
• Plan timetables and session delivery in consultation with headmasters, principals, teachers and faculty.
• Conduct program orientation for school staff and junior college faculty.
• Ensure project implementation meets the project's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within defined timelines.
• Build and manage relationships with school teachers, college faculty, school HMs and principals to strengthen program ownership.
• Help students develop their Financial Literacy projects and present them to different stakeholders.
• Conduct Financial Literacy activities, events, mentoring sessions, inter-school and intra-school activities, share-outs and Financial Enterprise Workshops with school and junior college students.
• Register and mentor students to participate in the National Financial Literacy Assessment Test (NFLAT).
• Plan parents' meetings and other school-level events as necessary.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports according to organizational standards.
• Identify and document case studies for program reporting.
• Coach and mentor teachers and students at school and junior college levels.
• Ensure adherence to minimum guarantee components across all schools and junior colleges within the respective clusters.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Maths with B.Ed / MBA (Finance).
• 0–3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in digital tools, especially MS Office, is mandatory.
• Strong multitasking, time-management, flexibility and adaptability skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in the regional language.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in the field, with communities and in multi-stakeholder processes.
• Readiness to travel and commit to demanding program requirements.
