Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Public Health, Information Systems or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Informatics, MBA or a related discipline is preferred.
Project Brief
The project is implemented by PSMRI in partnership with the STOP TB Partnership and supported through the U.S. Department of State. It aims to strengthen tuberculosis (TB) detection and linkage to treatment among underserved tribal populations across India.
Phase 1 will:
- Screen approximately 2 million people.
- Cover 24 districts across 8 high-burden states.
- Deploy 150 mobile screening teams.
- Use AI-enabled portable digital X-ray and molecular diagnostic tools.
- Deploy a large field workforce supported by monitoring and program-management structures.
The role contributes to community screening, diagnostics, coordination, monitoring and linkage to TB treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Role Overview
The Digital Health Lead will serve as the primary liaison between government stakeholders, public health programs, implementation partners, and the organization’s technical and program teams.
The role will drive strategic alignment between program objectives and technology delivery, ensuring stakeholder requirements are translated into:
- Actionable product enhancements
- Implementation plans
- Successful project outcomes
The Digital Health Lead will facilitate communication, decision-making and collaboration across multiple stakeholders while overseeing the implementation of digital health initiatives.
The role will also manage government relationships, guide program execution, ensure timely delivery of project milestones and support the adoption of scalable digital health solutions aligned with national health priorities.
The position will provide strategic oversight for product implementation, stakeholder engagement, health system integrations and program expansion, ensuring technical development remains aligned with user needs, policy requirements and program objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery Management
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies and deliverables.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, including technology, operations, training and deployment.
- Track delivery progress against plans and report status to the Program Team, Product Team and stakeholders.
Vendor, Partner & Delivery Management
- Act as the primary delivery coordinator between the Operations team, technology partners and implementation agencies.
- Own day-to-day delivery oversight across technology partners and workstreams.
- Manage delivery artefacts such as backlogs, user stories, tasks, defects and releases using JIRA or equivalent tools.
- Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews and burn-down tracking.
- Track and resolve dependencies, risks and delivery blockers.
- Ensure vendor deliverables meet functional, quality and timeline expectations.
- Coordinate with Senior BSA for requirement clarifications and acceptance criteria.
Pilot, Rollout & Adoption Readiness
- Plan and manage pilot deployments and phased rollouts.
- Coordinate training, onboarding and go-live readiness activities.
- Ensure solutions are usable in low digital literacy, multilingual and low-connectivity environments.
Risk, Quality & Governance
- Identify and manage risks related to scope, delivery, adoption and compliance.
- Maintain governance through risk logs, issue tracking, change requests and decision escalation.
- Ensure compliance with government IT policies and data-security standards.
UAT, Go-Live & Stabilization
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the Program Team and stakeholders.
- Track defects, ensure closure and obtain formal sign-offs.
- Support go-live and post-deployment stabilization activities.
- Monitor early adoption and coordinate corrective actions.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare structured status reports and delivery dashboards.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 10–12 years of experience in digital health, product implementation, health-tech programs or large-scale government health technology initiatives.
- Proven experience working with government health platforms and national digital health programs.
- Prior exposure to the Central TB Division (CTD), Nikshay, TB programs or Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)-aligned ecosystems is highly preferred.
Essential Skills
- Experience in implementation planning, UAT coordination, issue tracking and production rollout management.
- Experience with national/public health platforms and disease-program implementations.
- Familiarity with ABDM ecosystem components and digital public infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of health system integrations, interoperability workflows and program implementation.
- Ability to independently coordinate across government, program and technical teams.
Good to Have
- Ability to independently manage communication between clients and internal teams.
- Experience facilitating workshops, requirement discussions, governance meetings and steering committee reviews.
- Strong understanding of health-system integrations, interoperability frameworks, APIs and data-exchange workflows.
- Familiarity with ABDM ecosystem components, health registries, consent frameworks and digital public infrastructure.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards, digital health architectures and health information systems.
- Ability to translate program requirements into actionable inputs for technical teams and validate delivered solutions against stakeholder expectations.
- Experience in implementation planning, deployment strategy, rollout management and operationalization of digital health solutions.
- Strong experience in UAT planning, coordination, issue tracking and production rollout management.
- Experience managing implementation risks, dependencies, escalations and change requests.
- Ability to monitor project deliverables and ensure alignment with agreed timelines and outcomes.
