Position: Communication Specialist

Job Description:

As a Communications Coordinator, this role works closely with the communications team to ensure that all deliverables are executed across key communication channels smoothly and on schedule, as outlined in the communications and content calendar. The role ensures strict adherence to established guidelines and quality standards. Additionally, the role will collaborate with external counterparts on ongoing and upcoming communication campaigns and events.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create strategic communication plans consistent with the organization’s strategic vision
  • To lead coordination at communications team for timely delivery of content across various communication channels.
  • Creating and managing content planner to ensure timely communications are released.
  • Key POC for all donors & CSR partners’ counterparts for project-related communications deliverables
  • Responsible for Intra & Inter Departmental co-ordination for various communication deliverables as per needs.
  • Regularly track and update all communication channels such as website, blog, social media, presentations, media profiles, etc
  • To ensure the content (social media, videos, reports, blogs, presentations, etc) are checked and released as appropriate.
  • Hosting/ scheduling in person and virtual meetings for communications team.
  • Co-ordinate various programs/projects as under the communications department
  • Vendor co-ordination as applicable to the role
  • Manage communications & branding at the events, report outcome from the events.
  • Monitor Team performance, productivity, identify and resolve issues.

Why do you need this position (for new positions)?

This role will oversee the coordination and management of all deliverables related to the organisation’s overall communication strategy with a strong focus on donor-related materials such as social media content, videos, and EEP. The individual will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for tracking progress, securing approvals, and coordinating with donors. This role is critical in streamlining processes to enhance content output and communication effectiveness

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum 4-5 yrs work experience in internal & external communications
  • Experience in event coordination & management is a plus
  • Executed creative projects in digital space, content management, social media
  • Proficient in communication, graphic design, and video production technologies
  • Skilled in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in communications, preferably in the social development sector.
