About the Organization

Established in 2007, the National Health Systems Resource Centre, a premier Think Tank for MoHFW, is mandated to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the NP-NCD programme and Rare Disease team to conduct a situation analysis including mapping of key stakeholders and understand the programme needs.
• In coordination with the Consultant for monitoring and evaluation, develop tools for reviewing implementation of the programme with reference to services, human resource management, infrastructure, equipment, drugs and capacity building.
• Support states for implementation of NP-NCD and CoEs for National Policy for Rare Diseases (NPRD) 2021 with special focus on efficient procurement of equipment and drugs, human resource management and optimal utilization of funds.
• Support the division in identifying more Centers of Excellence (CoEs) for Rare Diseases for regional outreach and strengthen capacity of existing CoEs for Rare Diseases under NPRD 2021.
• Support review of implementation at state/district level with reference to access, availability of services, training and quality of care.
• Support in development of Standard Diagnosis and Treatment Protocols/guidelines for Rare Diseases
• Support in development/monitoring of the National Rare Disease Portal with coordination of all stakeholders
• Support in development of capacity building modules and training of medical professionals for early diagnosis and management of Rare Diseases
• Support states in preparation of PIPs for NCDs to facilitate expansion of the programme in the state.
• Support the operationalization of National and state level multi sectoral action plan for prevention and control of NCDs and Rare Disease.
• Provide technical support in initiating cost-effective interventions and mainstreaming NCD/ Rare Disease related interventions in different sectors at the state level for the prevention and control of NCD and their risk factors.
• Interact closely with the state teams to determine challenges and providing solutions in programme implementation.
• Ensure regular and timely generation of reports on activities, outputs and outcomes.
• Additional technical roles (publications, studies etc) within assigned areas.
• Undertake travel as and when necessary to ensure effective implementation of activities and provide technical inputs to address gaps and bottle necks.
• Undertake any other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• MBBS/BDS/AYUSH with Post Graduate Degree in Community Medicine/Community Health Administration/Public Health with 2 years experience after obtaining post graduate degree.

                               OR

• MBBS/BDS/AYUSH with 5 years experience in Public Health at National/State level

Salary

Rs. 1,20,000 per month
